Helping children with disabilities thrive in Woodbury County!

Between now and December 31, we are asking a few of our key partners to rally their friends, family, and networks to support our work. By becoming a fundraiser for The Arc of Woodbury County Summer Program, you will help intellectual and developmentally disabled youth improve relationship skills, increase academic abilities, have fun, and you'll help your friends feel great about doing good.

Starting a fundraiser is easy to do, and it's fun. We'll even give you all the tools you'll need to make a difference. With your help we can assure that children with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve more in our community. Over the past thirty years, Summer Programming Participants demonstrate the following outcomes:

• A higher rate of the children that go to summer programming graduate than those who do not.
• Past participants demonstrate positive effects on their self-esteem, self-confidence and motivation.
• Teachers and parents report significant improvements in social skills and improved behavior.
• Summer programming maintains routines and structure which results in the student requiring less time to adjust to the schools routines when they return to classes in the fall.

The Arc of Woodbury County is a local affiliate member of The Arc of Iowa and The Arc of the United States. All monies raised for this campaign are used to support summer programming in our community.
